Feature Dessert: Strawberry Cheesecake Brownie
Valentine’s Day is a perfectly good excuse to have chocolate covered strawberries. Although, almost any day is a good reason for that treat, right? Unfortunately strawberries aren’t juicy and sweet year round, but when they are covered in chocolate you can’t tell until you bite into it. My strawberry cheesecake brownie is the alternate you can enjoy any season for any reason!
For a party…
I will turn just about anything into a Dessert shooters, and this is no different! Crumble the brownie (or toss it in the food processor) at the bottom of your shooter cups, then layer all the components on top! Being able to see the layers and colors of this dessert will make it the star of the event!
For a crowd…
This dessert can be altered for any occasion just by assembling it differently. If we were making one big dessert, we’d start by baking in the dish we plan to serve in. Once the brownie is cooled, spread the cheesecake over it and spread or pipe on the strawberry whipped cream. Then sprinkle with the crumble, and if you want a little more strawberry flavor, drizzle with the leftover coulis.
For no reason…
One perk of this feature dessert is that it’s not going to take hours to prepare, or dirty all the pots and pans in your kitchen. Treat your family or your bestie to this just because life is tough and sometimes you need chocolate! The brownie pan makes perfect individual portions that you can scoop the toppings on to and dig right in! You could even turn it into an DIY bar and let everyone build their own!
For a romantic evening…
The flavors and colors of this dessert beg to be devoured as a dessert for two. You don’t have to be all fancy with it, but if you want to show off a little, silicone molds are your friend! (Grab the details of how to assemble in a mold in Cheesecake Mousse.)
Regardless of the occasion, of how you assemble it, your efforts will be rewarded with the oooh’s and ahhh’s of the recipients of this chocolate strawberry dessert! Scroll down for links to the three recipes used to make this feature dessert.
